I wasn’t born to fit in. I’ve always been “

I wasn’t born to fit in.

I’ve always been “too much.”

For my family, I was too much.

Too remarkable.
Too loud.
Too visible.

Being big?
Of course not!
"That’s not what you do".

I often felt left out.
Weird.
Like there was no room to truly express myself.

In high school, my friends said I was too emotional.
“Myra and her feelings…”
They never really got it.

But the truth?
Feeling deeply was my talent.

Yes, I felt a lot.
And at that age, I just didn’t know how to cope.

So I stuffed those powerful emotions away.
Because everyone seemed to have an opinion about them.

In love?
Too much again.

Too much to carry.
Too demanding.
Too fast.

Where he took one step,
I had already taken fifty.

Just last week, my mentor said to me:
“Woman… when you walk into a room, you trigger at least half the people there. Just by being you. You don’t even have to do anything.”

When I was younger, I learned to swallow all of it.
To adjust.
To dim.
To shrink.

But not anymore.

I embrace my ‘too.’
Whatever ‘too’ means.

Too for who?

Not for me.

This is me.
And I love her to pieces.

And the man by my side?
He better love all of this too.
(And he does :)

I embrace my bigness.
And I expand it.

Because I didn’t come here to fit in...
I came here to stand out!

Recently, I joined a new mastermind.
We met live for the first time and I was the newbie.

Of course I wanted to feel part of the group.

But after just a few hours, there was an activity that felt like too much.
My nervous system screamed!

And when I tuned into my body, it whispered something very clear:
“You need to leave.”

Years ago, I would’ve ignored that whisper.
I would’ve stayed.
Smiled. Pushed through….

Just to belong.
Just to be liked.
Just to feel part of something.

It’s what I used to do in relationships as well.

Recognize this?

Cause how often did you slightly adjust yourself?
Tone yourself down, ignore your gut.
Say “yes” when your body said “no”?

Just to be loved?
To get someone’s attention…

I could’ve done that in this situation too.
Stayed.

Overridden my boundary.
All for the sake to be seen.

But I chose differently.
I chose me and I left.

And here’s the truth:

So often, we take a step toward a man, by stepping away from ourselves.

And he?

Doesn’t take that step with you.

So you end up not just without the connection…
But also a little further away from yourself.

I’ve done that big time!

Until I embodied:
True love never asks you to leave yourself behind.

Now?
I’m have the love life I’ve always longed for.

Not because I adjusted myself to get there.
But exactly the other way around!

That changed everything and got me real love 🤍

Oh what a successful life I had…  There I was,

Oh what a successful life I had…
 There I was, on the penthouse floor of a famous hotel in Zurich.
 Wearing my new Louboutins, drinking champagne with the international board of directors, celebrating our millions in revenue.

From the outside, everything looked more than perfect. I had the prestigious executive job, the big money, the luxury trips.

But inside? I felt empty and far from happy.

The day after the celebration in Zurich, I found myself crying on the cold floor of my designer kitchen in my beautiful Amsterdam apartment.
 I had just received a phone call...

From the other girlfriend of the man I thought was my boyfriend.
 Apparently, he had two girlfriends!

At that moment, something snapped.  This was f*cking rock bottom! I was done!

Done with my SHITTY LOVE LIFE...

Done with men who didn’t think one girlfriend was enough... Done with men who couldn’t even plan their weekend with me until Friday night, like I was an option instead of a priority... Done with the ones who came on strong, only to pull away the second I opened my heart...

That day, I made a decision:

Love for myself first. Not the cliché kind.  But deep, soul-level, unconditional love. For me!

So I began my journey inward.
I found a mentor.  Someone who had walked this path before and embodied the kind of love I craved.

And everything started to shift. I found true love!

Then I retrained. First as a coach, then as a therapist.
 And I committed to deep, high-level self-development, every single day.

After guiding thousands of women back to themselves, I became a mentor.

It took me over a decade to fully receive the love I now live and breathe.
 But you?

You don’t have to take that long.
 And you don’t have to figure it all out alone.
